Ahrar believes in the following principles:
1: Ahrar believes in the principle of an Iraqi citizenship
Strengthening national unity on the basis of adherence to the principle of Iraqi citizenship. An Iraqi is any person who belongs to the land of Iraq and who holds Iraqi nationality. All Iraqis are equal in rights and duties, regardless of their ethnic, religious or sectarian, gender or clan or district levels affiliation.
No Iraqi has the right to be superior his Iraqi brother.
2: Ahrar believes in the Security of the State
Providing security, protection of national unity and the restoration of full sovereignty to the Iraqis on the ground of Iraq in cooperation with the national political forces and popular forces through a commitment to the constitution and the law.
3: Ahrar believes in the Security of the Citizens
Provide security for the Iraqi people and remove the fear in all its manifestations for the exercise of their natural life, to be effective in reconstructing Iraq, to issue laws to protect civil and political rights of citizens and the adoption of the international conventions ratified by Iraq, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) and to consolidate its value in the culture of the Iraqi community as a whole.
4: Ahrar believes in Freedom of Thought
Ensureing the political, professional and economic rights of the Iraqi people and respect the freedom of thought and expression in different aspects. Citizens have the right to use the media to express their views and to inculcate the values of tolerance and acceptance of others and respect for opinion in society as long as no harm to individuals.
5: Ahrar believes in Women's Rights
Iraqi women are partners with men in the country and have the right to full equality with men before the law. Work to raise the cultural and educational level of women and encourage them to take their natural role in the various parts of public life and involving them in decision-making process and to cancel all unjust laws and to give attention to maternal and child rights.
6: Ahrar believes in Civil Society Organizations
We will support and protect the role of the non-governmental organizations within the new civil society, without the tutelage of a party or state, including trade unions, peasant, professional associations, women's groups, human rights organizations and others.
7: Iraqi Nationality Law
We will reconsider the law of Iraqi nationality, full equality between citizens, the abolition of the principle of distinction on the basis of dependency, prevent stripping a citizen of Iraqi nationality for any reason, and to admit the right of dual nationality.
8: Ahrar believes that Education is the key to young peoples futures
We will amend school curricula and education in order to achieve the principle of integration, participation, respect for the opinion without discrimination on the basis of gender, nationalism or ethnicity and deepening concern for human rights in those curricula. And work to provide schools and universities with new technologies, encourage engagement in scientific researches, find the necessary resources for that, and openness to the scientific and cultural developments in the world.
9:The Economy
We will adopt economic policy to ensure the basic interests of citizens, including health, education and improving the general standard of living for citizens by rehabilitation, upgrading and increase the production and export industries, particularly the oil sector, with insuring the stability of the international oil markets and avoid the game of “price war”, and fight against the political effects on the financial corruption in the economy.
10: Health
Every Iraqi has the right to a healthy life and the state is responsible for the good health of its citizens. it must protect public health and the provision of health services and accessories with a symbolic financial charges. The state needs to support and monitor the health institutions in the private sector.
11: Culture
We are Committed to proceed in stabilizing an emerging and resurgent culture of the community that rejects dependency, relaxing mood, arbitrary and irresponsibility, both in organizing the movement of the public life or in exercising the role and the general national interest.
12: Agriculture
We will work on the development of the agricultural process that contributes to increaseing the production and quality of agriculture, through the use of all the advanced scientific means, promote investment, use of modern techniques in the implementation of irrigation projects, reclamation lands and support the tools of caring for livestock.
13: Environment
Every Iraqi has the right to a well maintained and clean environment, starting from housing, neighborhood and city to the ground, water, air, flora and fauna. The State has to protect the environment, in particular from types of industrial pollution, and work to rid the Iraqi environment of the remnants of war, like ground mines, portable weapons and barbed wire. The State must take into account cleanliness and beauty of the environment when planning or initiating the establishment of projects in the country.
14: International Relations
Iraqi has the right to enjoy a responsible and meaningful foreign policy, based on mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs, respect for national sovereignty and resolve all disputes by peaceful means. And he has the right of a foreign policy, which is committed to the international regulations and legislation and consistent with the interests of Iraq.
