NEW MOVEMENT TO INTRODUCE TEAM OF 40 MEMBERS DRAWN FROM ACROSS IRAQ
AYAD JAMAL ALDIN, THE ONLY IRAQI MP WHO HAS CONSISTENTLY CALLED FOR A SECULAR, UNITED IRAQ AND STOOD UP TO A CORRUPT AND IRANIAN-DOMINATED GOVERNMENT WILL INTRODUCE 40 KEY AHRAR MOVEMENT MEMBERS DRAWN FROM ALL PARTS OF IRAQI LIFE.
This Saturday, 14th November 2009, Ayad Jamal Aldin MP, and 40 members of the movement - Ahrar will speak about Ahrar's plans to fight corruption, unite Iraq, stand firm against the influence of interfering neighbours and to finally offer jobs, security, electricity, running water and hope for all Iraqis.
Described by world-renowned New York Times columnist Tom Friedman as having the courage to tell the truth on Iraq, Ayad Jamal Aldin MP will bring real change to Iraq. He will stand up to a failed government and failed current politicians who are more focused on their own self-interest than on the Iraqi people.
Ahrar for One Iraq is open to all who support One Iraq - secular, democratic and accountable.
Mr. Jamal Aldin has been an outspoken critic of Iranian interference in Iraqi politics and is the only man who stood up to Maliki, and then Allawi's coalition, because of its close ties to Iran and their collective failures to deliver a better life for all Iraqis.
Those attending the conference will show that Iraqis want to move beyond the current parties and factions who have had their chance and that there is a real alternative to the current crop of parties.

About Ayad Jamal Aldin:
Ayad Jamal Aldin is a Shia cleric, best known for his consistent campaigning for a new, secular Iraq. He first rose to prominence at the Nasiriyah conference in March 2003, shortly before the fall of Saddam, where he called for a state free of religion, the turban and other theological symbols. In 2005, he was elected as one of the 25 MPs on the Iraqi National List, but withdrew in 2009 after becoming disenchanted with Iyad Allawi's overtures to Iran. He wants complete independence from Iranian interference in Iraq. He now leads the Ahrar party for the 2010 election to the Council of Representatives, to clean up corruption and create a strong, secure and liberated Iraq for the future.
